Johto Trainer Reference Sheet

Updates in bold!

The Character:  Rosemary of New Bark Town.  The silent type.  Super, painfully silent, and very introverted.  Her single mother is a mess and constantly spends all her money, and their relationship is bipolar.  I'm thinking of making her rival her brother....

The Outfit:  Pokemon fashion is very weird.  It's almost contemporary art meets urban hip hop meets futuristic.  I tried to capture that, but I'm unsure.  The colors and her shirt design are inspired by some of the more advanced pokeballs.  But the best thing I noticed when looking at the starter trainers in-game is that they all have /ridiculous/ high top sneakers.  So I'll be sure to incorporate that into the designs for my other two.

The Team:The Team:  Not pictured (obviously).  Meganium, Dragonair, Piloswine, Butterfree, Shiny Clefairy, Polywhirl.  I'm going to do a PokeDerp team shot with her and maybe fill out one of those trainer memes.  Which means I should do that for my other two trainers as well...Oops.  I'm playing a Crystal run on an emulator, so I'm rehashing her life a bit.

The Anatomy:  I'm aware that things are a tad off in this sketch, but I'd already scanned it in an started coloring when I noticed them.  Her eyes are uneven and her legs are a little wonky around the knee area.  Things to keep in mind for next time :3
